ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. --- Crown College Softball fell to the Northwestern Eagles on Saturday 21-6, and 12-0.
In the first game, the Eagles starting with a 3-0 lead. Crown came back to match it as Kaylee Wilson scored Hailey Wilson and Laryssa Vik. The Kuulei Ili singled to score Kaylee Wilson. The Storm added two more runs in the second inning when Vik doubled to score Maddie Noble, and Kaylee Wilson singled to score Vik. Maddie Noble and Abbie Carroll pitched the game for the Storm, with two strikeouts each. Vik led the team with three hits, and Kaylee Wilson, Ili, and Raquel Gonzalez all had two.
In the second contest, the Storm had a slightly closer margin but without the run production. Lindsay Glover had the lone Storm hit and relieved starter Savannah Ellis for the final 2.2 innings, only allowing one hit.
Crown moves on to face the North Central Rams on Saturday, which will conclude their conference season.
