Gilmore, Dvorak, and Duffy Win Against Vikings as Storm Conclude UMAC Play

CHASKA, Minn. --- The Crown College Tennis program competed against the Bethany Lutheran Vikings at Southwest Christian High School on Saturday. The Storm fell 2-7 and 1-8 to the Vikings, with wins from Jared Gilmore (No. 4 singles), Regan Dvorak (No. 5 singles), and Cortney Duffy (No. 4 singles). 

Gilmore and Dvorak both took third tiebreaker sets, with Gilmore winning eleven total games and Dvorak nine. Duffy swept her sets, winning 13 games and swept the second set 6-0. This contest marks the first win of the season for all three athletes. 

Also competing well for Crown was Veronika Mykhailiuk with six wins, Madeline Echavarria with five wins, Jake Nerison with three wins, Logan Disabella with two wins, Sierra Allison with one win, and Matt Leathers with one win.

The best duo combination was Gilmore and Andrew Moorse, who took four games in the No. 1 spot. Echavarria/Duffy took one game in their doubles spot, and Mykhailiuk/Morales took one as well. 

The Storm have concluded their six-contest conference season and will have one remaining contest, a non-conference matchup with Northwestern on Monday evening.
