St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Crown men's basketball team hosted nationally ranked UW-Lacrosse on Saturday afternoon and despite a bright start, the Storm were outmuscled by the top-ten team.
After leading 20-12 after 10 minutes the Storm were stifled by a physical, tough, team, only scoring 23 points the rest of the way.
The Storm were solid defensively, and excellent on the defensive glass, holding the Eagles to just 67 points and limiting them to only five offensive rebounds.
Seth Royston led the way on the glass, grabbing nine defensive boards and finishing with a ten point, eleven rebound, double-double.
Crown was led offensively by
Jacob Van Dam, who continued his hot streak and finished with 17 points.  Outside of the two players in double-figures, Crown only got scoring contributions from three other players, with
Cade Neubert scoring eight points off the bench,
Alec Testerman hitting a pair of threes for six points, and
Christian Oldenettel scoring a tough bucket for two points.
Crown heads into the break at 5-6 overall after playing a very challenging schedule and will now take some time off before traveling to Gustavus on January 1
