St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Crown women's basketball team opened their conference season against the visiting North Central University Rams on Saturday afternoon. Despite getting double-digit scoring from
Destiny Ray,
Amy Martius, and
McKenzie Latzke, the Storm fell by a final score of 95-52.
Ray led the Storm with an impressive double-double, recording a team high 13 points and ten rebounds. Martius had eleven and seven and Latzke added 12 points with three steals.
The Rams pressing style and up-tempo play proved too much for the Storm as the conference foe forced 30 turnovers in the game.
Crown next travels to Fayette, Iowa for a matchup with NCAA Division II Upper Iowa University on Tuesday.
