St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Crown men's basketball team was able to pull to within a single point of visiting Northwestern late in the second half and was within striking distance up until the final whistle, but were unable to pull off the comeback after trailing by as many as 17 points in the second half.
Crown played an efficient game on the offensive end, recording an incredible 25 assists with only five turnovers and shooting 12-27 (44.4%) from beyond the arc, but struggled on the glass, giving up a 39-23 advantage on the boards.
Crown was led by a virtuoso performance from sophomore guard
Micah Ladd who finished with a career high 28 points and ten assists while adding four steals. The Harris, Minnesota native hit on six of eight attempts from beyond the arc in a catalytic effort. Ladd was joined in double figures by
Seth Royston who had 16 on 7-11 shooting (2-4 3pt) and

Crown will look to bounce back as they host North Central in another pivotal UMAC contest on Saturday with tip scheduled for 4:45 p.m.
