Solid Attacking Night Not Enough for Volleyball

St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Crown volleyball team had an efficient night in attack on Tuesday when they hosted Bethany Lutheran, but it wasn't enough as the Storm fell 3-0 to the Vikings.  Crown recorded a .074 hitting percentage on the night, with 21 kills to 13 errors, but were outdone by the potent Vikings who swung their way to 43 kills and a .275 hitting percentage.

Crown had balance in attack with four players recording multiple kills, led by Jocelynn Shockley's six.  Ashley Earick had five kills to go along with two blocks and Gretchen Warner and Gracie Zieroth each recorded four kills.

Talana Rudzitis had 16 assists, one shy of her season high, while Sage Johnston recorded a season high 18 digs.

Crown added a match for today (Wednesday), with Oak Hills Christian College, at 6 p.m. and will then wrap up their regular season by traveling to UW-Superior and Northland on the weekend.
