Minneapolis, Minn. – Two red cards for the Storm and one for the Rams grabbed the headlines from Friday's UMAC matchup between Crown and North Central. Each team had a player sent off in the first half and Crown suffered a further setback with a second red just before halftime in what was eventually a 4-1 win for the host Rams.
Brock Knick and Rodrigo De Mendoza were sent off for an incident off the ball on 38 minutes and the game proceeded with ten players per side until AJ Anderson-Sanchez was sent off for hand ball on the goal line which denied an obvious goal scoring opportunity. NCU scored the ensuing penalty with basically the last kick of the half and went into the break up 3-0.
The Rams would take a 4-0 lead before a late
Tim Jaeger goal gave the Storm a bit of consolation after playing half the match down a man.
Crown will look to bounce back right away as they travel to Northwestern for another UMAC contest on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
