Help Appoint The Crown Court!

| By:
While teams may not be playing yet this season, 2020 marks a remarkable shift in Crown College Athletics Department. In the summer, we announced a new mascot, "Storm," the Polar Bear. Now it's time for Storm to upgrade to a new arena court. Due to a faulty AC unit, our timeline to replace the Wild Athletic Center basketball/volleyball courts has advanced. Given the opportunity to only pay the $50,000 insurance deductible for a $350,000 floor, the time is now.

"The new court will provide a space for our athletes to grow in both their volleyball skills as well as learning what true teamwork looks like," said Head Volleyball Coach Brittany Strange. "The gym provides a place where our athletes can get away from the distractions of everyday life and focus on the sport they are passionate about while they grow as brothers and sisters in Christ."

Our Athletic Department is working with H2I Group to provide a state-of-the-art new court for our Athletic Center. All 16 of Crown's NCAA Division III sports practice on the Wild Athletic Center floor in some capacity, and it is the home court for Crown Basketball and Volleyball. The new floor will be made from the same material used by the Minnesota Timberwolves, which prevents dead spots while dribbling and creates a consistent floor that will be long-lasting.

"We have an incredible opportunity to provide an amazing experience for our student-athletes," says Director of Athletics Jamie Ross. "The $50,000 deductible is no easy expense, but with your help, we can elevate Crown College Athletics to the next level."
