ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. --- Senior forward
Damonyka Roberts had a huge day off the bench on Monday, scoring 24 points and grabbing a team-high seven rebounds as the Storm Women's Basketball team fell to the Maranatha Baptist Sabercats 78-59. Roberts was extremely efficient for the second straight game, making 10/15 field goal attempts and 50% from three-point distance. This was a career-high for Roberts and the first time she's eclipsed the 20 point threshold.
Sophomore guard
Shauna Thompson added 14 points and a team-high six assists in the contest. Senior guard
Stevey De La Ossa shot 75% from the field and scored eight points. Sophomore
Katie Archer hit all her shot attempts and scored six points, and senior post
Patricia Gibson grabbed five rebounds and forced four turnovers. First-year wing
Amy Martius added two points as did Gibson, and senior
Rose Crowns added three to complete the Storm's scoring performance.
Crown quickly continues their schedule with two more home games this week, facing Northwestern on Wednesday and Trinity Bible on Friday.
