ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. --- Crown Women's Soccer started out the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference schedule Saturday afternoon with a match against rival Bethany Lutheran. Unfortunately, the Storm fell 2-0 in a close matchup with the Vikings.
Junior goalkeeper
Michaela Cowman tallied up 13 saves in the contest and is now up to 70 saves in the season with a 2.75 GAA. Seniors
Britta Swenson and
Anna Kragt, along with sophomore
Abigail Taylor, had a shot on goal in the match.
Interesting to note, this may have been the most throw-ins ever for a Storm contest, with 97 in total throughout the match. The Storm had an incredible 33 in the first half and 57 total.
The Storm continue their homestand with a non-conference match on Wednesday, with Martin Luther visiting Old National Bank Stadium.
