ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. --- Crown Women's Soccer played a non-conference game against Martin Luther on Wednesday evening, and despite being down 0-1 early, the Storm didn't let up, and eventually won 2-1. Sophomore
Abigail Taylor had an outstanding effort on the field, with an assist on senior
Anna Kragt's game-tying goal, and scoring on a corner kick in the second half for the game-winning goal. Even if Taylor didn't score on the kick, sophomore
Hailey Carter was ready for a rebound goal as it slipped through the Knight's keeper's hands.
"[It] feels great because it gives us an edge for the next time we meet them for [a] conference [game]," said Taylor. "[For] the goal, my teammate
Anna Kragt told me to bang it in there because it was slippery, so that's what we did."
Junior goalkeeper
Michaela Cowman received the start in net and saved six with one goal allowed for her fourth win of the season. The Storm are now 4-5 this season with a slate of conference games approaching quickly, starting with the team's trip to Northland College this weekend.
