MANKATO, Minn. --- Crown Softball fell to the Bethany Lutheran Vikings on Tuesday as they continued UMAC play, 11-6, 9-6.
In game one, the Storm fell behind early as the Vikings bats started out hot, taking a 9-0 lead by the end of the second inning. The Storm came back with five straight runs, starting with
Demi Brezina scoring
Liz Kemp and herself on a triple (and an error by the second baseman). Kemp,
Laryssa Vik, and
Lottie Ellis added RBIs to complete the five-run streak. After two more Vikings runs, the Storm scored one last run when Kemp hit in her second RBI of the day as Bethany Lutheran took the first contest 11-6.
In the second contest, Crown started the game in a positive fashion taking a 6-1 lead.
Telma Roesler, Kemp, Vik, and
Demi Brezina (2) all had RBIs in the contest. Unfortunately, the Vikings followed that with a seven-run five inning and took the contest, 9-6.
The Storm next play on Saturday against North Central inside at the Plymouth Creek Dome.
