PLYMOUTH, Minn. --- Crown Softball faced the North Central Rams at the Plymouth Creek Dome, and took both games easily, 8-0 and 15-4. This is the 15th straight time Crown Softball has defeated the Rams.
In game one, the Storm's big six-run fourth inning allowed the team to eight-run rule the Rams by the end of the fifth. First-year
Telma Roesler led the Storm production in game one, with two hits, two RBIs and a run.
Olivia Dols led the team with three hits,
Liz Kemp led with two runs, and
Lottie Ellis had two RBIs. Kemp received the start for the Storm, and
Maddie Noble pitched three innings and received the win. They threw a two-hitter combined.
In the second contest, the Storm breezed to a commanding 10-1 lead by the end of the third inning and coasted to the fifth inning for another eight-run rule win. Roesler had another fantastic contest with four hits, three RBIs and three runs. Kemp added three RBIs and two runs on three hits, and
Samantha Collins had her first career home run, a grand slam. Kemp and
Olivia Christopherson pitched for the Storm, with Christopherson striking out seven in three innings.
The Storm next play on Tuesday, with the Northwestern Eagles headed to town. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
