ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. --- Senior guard
Gunnar Ledin broke or tied three Crown NCAA-era records on Thursday when the Storm played host to Macalester College. Ledin broke the Free Throws Made single-game record (17), the Free Throw Attempted single-game record (19), and the Field Goals Taken single-game record (26) on his way to an incredible 39 points. The Scots came out to a commanding start and led by as much as 15 in the first half. The Storm struggled out of the gate, and despite a late first-half comeback trailed by seven in the opening period. Macalester opened the first ten minutes of second-half creating a 17-point lead with nine minutes remaining, only to have the Storm end on a 27-10 run to tie the game and force an extra period. Unfortunately, the Scots were able to win overtime, defeating the Storm 92-85.

Torry Ledin was the second-leading scorer for the Storm with 13 in the contest. Senior
Tim Wendel was a rebound away from a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds. Wendel led the team in assists with four. Junior
Christian Moore led Crown with ten rebounds in the game.Â
The Storm only shot 34% from the field in the game but made 73% from the charity stripe on 34 attempts. The Storm's bench outscored the Scot's bench 23-2 as several players found their way for Crown. The Storm have an off day before heading to Minnesota State in Mankato on Saturday for their second exhibition.Â
