WINONA, Minn. --- Crown Men's Basketball fell to the St. Mary's Cardinals 68-52 on Saturday as they continued their non-conference schedule facing another member of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, their third of the early season. Junior guard
Christian Moore led the team in scoring with 14 points, much of which came back in a comeback attempt that cut the Cardinal lead to four late in the contest. However, St. Mary's gathered and were able to pull out the rest of the game.
Senior
Tim Wendel scored 13 points in the contest, with 14 rebounds and four blocks. Senior
Torry Ledin joined Moore and Wendel in double figures with eleven points in the game.
The Storm led early and even eclipsed double figures before the Cardinals were able to successfully adjust to the Crown attack. Crown struggled shooting, with a 34.5% field goal percentage, 27.3% from three, and 53% from the charity stripe.
The Storm get back in action on Wednesday as they head to Buena Vista in Iowa to face the Beavers.
