De La Ossa's Career-High 17 Points Leads Storm over Lakers

MANITOWOC, Wis. --- Crown Women's Basketball defeated the Holy Family Lakers on Monday 61-55 in a non-conference matchup. Senior guard Stevey De La Ossa had a banner day to lead the Storm with career-high 17 points, along with five rebounds and four assists. The Storm and Lakers were tied up entering the fourth quarter, but 19 points in the final period led Crown to a five-point win despite Holy Family leading by eight points with six minutes remaining. 

Senior Patricia Gibson recorded a double-double with ten points and twelve rebounds and fellow senior Damonyka Roberts scored 13 points, grabbed five rebounds, three assists, and five steals. First-year guard Dominique Urbina had a team-high five assists, and senior Rose Crowns had seven points in the contest. First-year Amy Martius scored her first collegiate points with six in the contest. Sophomore Shauna Thompson added three steals. 

The Storm look to continue their success on Saturday as they head to Northfield to face the Carleton Knights at 7 pm.
