ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. — The Crown College volleyball team played Bethany Lutheran College in a close and hard-fought match, but unfortunately lost to the Vikings 3-0 (25-14, 26-24, 25-22).
Crown leaders tonight were sophomore Gracie Zieroth with ten kills with first-year Emily Holliday following close behind with seven. Junior Cortney Gunderson had sixteen digs and sophomore Talana Rudzitis had thirteen assists. Senior Kassy Steinkamp had two blocks.
"Our goal tonight was to be unified and have fun. I don't know if it was the pink jerseys or what, but my girls came out with fight," said Holliday. "We played our hearts out, loved one another, and used our talents to represent Crown and Christ. Even though we didn't get the win that is all I can ask for as a teammate and I could not be prouder of my team."
The Storm will head to Duluth on Saturday, Oct. 26 to play in the St. Scholastica Triangular. They will play the College of St. Scholastica and the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
