ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. — The Crown College volleyball team had a long-awaited win Friday night over Finlandia University in a non-conference matchup. The Storm started the game slow but came back strong in the last two sets sweeping the Lions 3-0 (25-23, 25-12, 25-14).
Leading in offense for the Storm was sophomore
Gracie Zieroth with eleven kills. Junior
Cortney Gunderson led in digs with fourteen and also in service aces with four. Sophomore
Talana Rudzitis had twelve assists.
"We're finally bringing what we do in practice into our game," said Zieroth. "The communication on the court has stepped up immensely allowing us to advance our playing. I'm excited to see how we bring this win into tomorrow's game."
The Crown volleyball team will head to Ashland, Wisc. on Saturday, Oct.18 to play conference rival Northland College.
