Cowman Has 18 Saves in Loss to UM-Morris

MORRIS, Minn. --- Crown women's soccer team traveled to Morris on Wednesday for a matchup with the UM-Morris Cougars. The game was tied for almost the entirety of the first half, but a penalty kick goal in the 44th minute led the Cougars into a 1-0 halftime lead. Crown allowed three second-half goals to fall 0-4 to the Cougars. 

Belle Flucas, Anna Kragt and Hailey Carter had Crown's three shots on goal. Sophomore goalkeeper Michaela Cowman registered 18 saves in the game, with 11 of those saves coming in the first half. 

The Crown women fall to 3-4 on the season, and 1-3 in UMAC contests. Crown returns home for a Saturday game with the Northland Lumberjills making the trip to St. Bonifacius from Ashland.
