Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

H. Carter Scores in Last Two Minutes to Beat BLC

ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. --- Crown's women's soccer team won their homecoming game for the second straight year in their second UMAC game of the season against Bethany Lutheran. For the homecoming crowd, they witnessed an amazing game as Crown broke a 2-2 tie in the 88th minute to win the game 3-2.

The Storm scored the first goal of the game when junior Belle Flucas found the back of the net to go ahead 1-0. After Bethany tied the game at one, fellow junior Anna Kragt scored the second goal for the Storm on a pass from sophomore Lottie Ellis. In the 80th minute, the Vikings tied the game once again. The game looked like it was heading to overtime, but a free kick by senior Katelyn Carter set the ball perfectly for first-year Hailey Carter to finish with a goal in the 88th minute, giving Crown the 3-2 win.

"I'm proud of the way our team played," said Kragt. "I felt we played great as a team and look forward to what the rest of the season holds."

Flucas led the team with three shots, and Hailey Carter led the team with two shots on goal. Sophomore goalkeeper Michaela Cowman had two goals allowed and eleven saves for her third win of the season. Crown's record improves to 3-3 and is now 1-1 in UMAC play.

Crown's next game is on Wednesday as they travel to face the UM-Morris Cougars at 2 pm.
