Clark Has 38 Assists and Five Aces at MLC Triangular

NEW ULM, Minn. — Crown traveled to Martin Luther College for a triangular with MLC and St. Scholastica on Saturday, as Crown completes their week of facing St. Scholastica in four sports.

In game one against Martin Luther, Crown took the first set from the Knights but unfortunately fell in the next three sets. Junior Sarah Reinke led Crown with nine kills, first-year Elizabeth Clark led with 24 assists and 2 aces, and junior Madeline Svoboda led with 14 digs. Svoboda was one of three Crown players with double-digit digs in the match, joined by first-year Gracie Zieroth (12) and Reinke (10).

In the second game against St. Scholastica, Crown struggled, falling 0-3 to the Saints. Zieroth led Crown with nine kills, Clark led with 14 assists and three aces, and Karissa Steinkamp led the defense with three blocks.

Crown returns home for their first games at the Wild Athletic Center of the season on Tuesday, hosting a UMAC triangular with Northwestern and North Central in St. Boni.
