ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. --- The Storm Women opened Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play on Wednesday, but unfortunately fell at home to the UM-Morris Cougars 36-74. Crown started out slow, with only 11 points in the first half, but picked up speed in the second half, with over 2/3 of their points coming in the last two periods.

Patricia Gibson was the high-point woman for the Storm, with 13 points in the game. Gibson also grabbed seven boards. Damonkya Roberts also had seven rebounds. First-year guard
Shauna Thompson scored seven points despite only one field goal made in the game.
Stevey De La Ossa and
Marissa Ruf both had six points. Sophomore
Brooke Honeck led the team with three assists.
Crown next heads to Wisconsin to face UW-Stout on Friday, and plays a back-to-back, heading to Mount Mary in Milwaukee on Saturday.
