ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. --- Crown Football fell to the Westminster Blue Jays 6-21 on Saturday afternoon in their last home game of the season.
There was a single touchdown per quarter, with the Blue Jays taking the first three and the Storm taking the last. Crown scored their lone touchdown when
Isaiah Zepeda rushed for a yard up the middle to score.
First-year quarterback
Jared Gilmore led the Storm in passing yards with 151 through the air. Fellow first-year running back
Avory Caruthers led Crown in rushing yards with 44. Junior receiver
George Green led the receivers with 83 yards on five catches.
Defensively, senior
Alex Banks led the team with 11 tackles in the matchup, including six solo. Fellow senior
Luke Edlund led the team with two full tackles for a loss. First-year
Elijah Lowen, senior
Tyler Byrd, and sophomore
Corey Huard all had a full tackle for a loss as well, and senior
Jacob Sporleder and junior
Hunter Orozco both had a half tackle in the backfield.
Junior Cody Rickets forced two turnovers in the game, with an interception and a forced fumble in the matchup. On the fumble forced by Ricketts, Alvardo returned the ball 30 yards and nearly broke free for the score.
Crown celebrated Senior Day as they honored the nine football seniors on the team;

Luke Edlund.
Crown Football is off next week before heading to Martin Luther to conclude their 2018 season.
