Crown Volleyball Wins Senior Night 3-1

ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. --- Crown Volleyball celebrated Senior Night on Friday evening as the Storm bested the Mount Mary Blue Angels; 25-23, 23-25, 26-24, 25-20.

First-year Elizabeth Clark had a fantastic game as the setter, with eight kills, a .353 attack percentage, 31 assists, and 20 digs. All three of the number of kills, attack percentage, and amount of digs were career highs, including doubling her career high in kills.

"We've been working really hard," said Clark. "It was really nice to finish on a strong note after a tough season."

Junior Christine Anderson led the team in total kills with 14, eclipsing the 200 mark in the season. Anderson also had an incredible eight block night, a new Crown single-match record.

Another season record breaker was junior Madeline Svoboda, who led the defense with 23 digs, ending her season with 371, breaking the Crown single-season record. There were three other Crown athletes with double-figure digs, first-year Gracie Zieroth (12), junior Sarah Reinke (12), and Cortney Gunderson (11), joining Svoboda and Clark.

Senior Alina Rolfe led Crown with three aces, and sophomore Madison Timm had two in the match. Zieroth had a complete game with 12 digs, nine kills, three blocks, three assists, and an ace.

Before the games, Crown Volleyball honored the three seniors; Alina Rolfe, Brooke Honeck, and Brittany Rolf. All three started tonight.
