St. Bonifacius, Minn. — The Crown volleyball team faced the UW-Superior Yellowjackets on Saturday afternoon, only a week after facing the Yellowjackets in a triangular with UM-Morris. Hoping for a better result than last week, where Crown lost to UWS 0-3, Crown scored 14 more points, but couldn't find a way to win a set, falling again 0-3.
Crown's best advantage came in the third set, where they took an early 13-2 lead, but after a timeout by the Yellowjackets, UWS stormed back and took the victory behind the success of Brylee Colligan and Emily Verway.
Crown's offense was led by sophomore
Christine Anderson and senior
Alayna Kohler, who had twelve and seven kills respectively. Senior
Kelsey Roschen added to her impressive season with two aces, 23 assists, and 15 digs. Kohler led the Storm's defense with 20 digs.
The Storm move on with continued UMAC action next Tuesday, heading to Morris to face the Cougars.
