St. Bonifacius, Minn. — Crown's women's soccer team played an early-morning matchup with WIAC UW-Platteville at 9 am Saturday morning, and couldn't find a rhythm, falling to the Platteville team 0-5. The game was close at the half, only down one (despite being outshot 0-29).
First-year goalkeeper
Michaela Cowman kept up her breakneck pace with 15 more saves including several incredible dives and leaps to try to keep Crown in the game, however, couldn't help Crown on the offensive end, getting outshot zero to 53. Cowman had her 100th save in today's action and leads the UMAC in saves by 66. Additionally, she is third in the UMAC in save percentage (min. 10 saves).
Cowman and the Storm next have their second UMAC game of the season, facing UW-Superior in Superior on Tuesday.
