Superior, Wis. — The Crown women's team played their second UMAC game of the season yesterday with a matchup with the University of Wisconsin-Superior Yellowjackets. The offense opened up more than the past few games, but unfortunately the Storm had their fifth consecutive game without a goal, losing the matchup with the Yellowjackets.
Junior
Katelyn Carter led the team in shots for the fifth time this year, with three shots in the game (one on goal). Senior
Katie Lao also had a shot on goal, and first-year
Lottie Ellis had two shots in the match.
In goal, reigning UMAC Player of the Week
Michaela Cowman added 23 saves to her impressive season. Cowman is now at 125 saves in her first seven games. She stayed put at third in the conference in save percentage (min. 10 saves) raising her save percentage to .776.
The Crown next play at home on Saturday against Northwestern for the continuing of the UMAC schedule.
