Milwaukee, Wis. — Crown's women's soccer team lost a heartbreaker in their first game of the season today, with a 1-1 tie broken in the double overtime on an Alverno 103rd minute goal.
Crown allowed a goal early in the 54th minute, but before the clock could hit 55 Crown put up a score of their own on a shot by
Katelyn Carter, assisted by
Anna Kragt. Carter and Kragt both had four shots on goal in the game.
First-year goalkeeper
Michaela Cowman had 15 saves in the contest, only allowing two goals in 103 minutes of gameplay. The Crown women hope to recover tomorrow, staying in Milwaukee to face the Mount Mary team they bested last year.
