New Ulm, Minn. — Crown's softball team split the series with Martin Luther as they are now 11-3 in conference play this season.
In game one, Crown was led by the stellar performances by
Lis King and
Kate McLaughlin, who both had three RBIs. King hit her fourteenth home run of the season in the fifth inning, which leads the UMAC by eleven.
Janelle Williams was three for three in the game with three runs. Outfielder
Cassidy Valenzuela had two hits including a double in the game with two RBIs. Crown won game one with a score of 9-6.
In game two, Crown fell to Martin Luther by a score of 1-2, despite the incredible performance by
Lis King again, who had a double and a RBI, and no earned runs (three hits) in her six innings of work.
Crown has two more UMAC games facing St. Scholastica at home on Saturday.
