St. Bonifacius, Minn. — The softball team improved to 10-2 in UMAC play as they defeated Northland 5-1 and 9-1. Lis King led Crown with three home runs and two complete games with only one earned run. 

In game one, after Northland scored the first run of the game, Crown scored five consecutive runs throughout the rest of the match. King's two-run home run in the fifth inning set Crown ahead four. One more run led to their 5-1 win. King only allowed six hits in seven innings of work in game one. 

In the second contest, Crown again was down early when Northland scored in the first on an error, but they regained the lead after Janelle Williams hit a triple and King hit her second home run of the day in the third inning. King homered again in the sixth as well as only allowing three hits and no earned runs in the game. Crown owned the base paths with four steals in the contest. Williams had three steals in the doubleheader. 

Crown continues their UMAC season at Martin Luther on Wednesday.
