Mankato, Minn. — Crown had a doubleheader against Bethany Lutheran on Friday, falling to the Vikings 0-5 and 3-4.
In game one, shortstop
Kress Medina had the lone extra base hit for Crown, as Bethany Lutheran's Olson pitched a stellar match, with only four hits allowed and allowing no runs. Crown's pitcher
Tanner Pruett pitched a complete game on Crown's side.
In game two, outfielder
David Cruz led the way offensively going 3/3 with two walks, and two of his three hits were doubles. Cruz had a RBI and a run in the game and had a total of four hits in the two games. First baseman Dalton Wintersole had a great game as well, going 2/5 with two RBIs, helping Crown get to a 3-0 lead.
Unfortunately, despite Crown's 3-0 lead, the Vikings scored five runs in a row including a RBI single in the bottom of the ninth to get the win against the Storm.
Crown baseball has their home opener on April 5th next week.
