Arden Hills, Minn. — Crown's women's basketball team had a tough weekend of UMAC play, and unfortunately couldn't get a win, falling 52-67 to North Central and 50-62 to Northwestern.
Junior
Andrea Besa was the high-point player for Crown against North Central with 12 points, with senior
Nicole Kucza close behind with 11 points.
In the second contest against Northwestern, three Storm players reached double digits in the scoring column. Senior
Molly Greenfield had 11 points with three made threes.
Nicole Kucza had ten points again for a weekend of reaching double figures. Freshman
Mariah Douville had ten points, her first time reaching double figures as a member of the Storm, a career high.
Other notes from the Northwestern game include senior
Katie Hinkle, who had eight rebounds and two blocks and Besa's seven assists, her first time with five or more this season.
The Crown women play next against Wisconsin-Superior at home on Friday.
