St. Bonifacius, Minn. — Crown women's soccer team fell to North Central on a rainy Saturday afternoon, 2-5. After a scoreless first half for both teams, the scoring came in bunches with seven second-half goals.
Crown's first goal came by senior
Monika Russell, her first goal of the season, on her second shot of the season, from a pass by junior
Katelyn Carter. On Crown's second shot on goal,
Anna Kragt scored on a through pass from Carter, Carter's second assist of the game. That goal was in the 65th minute and tied the game at two. Unfortunately, Crown allowed three more goals in the remaining second half and fell to the Rams.
Defensively,
Michaela Cowman had 18 saves out of 23 shots on goal for the North Central squad. The team next plays on Tuesday against Bethany Lutheran in St. Bonifacius.
