Minneapolis, Minn. – Crown's women's volleyball team lost on Friday to Minneapolis-based North Central University, getting shut out in three sets.
North Central defeated the Storm with strong performances from senior setter
Elissa Pheneger (Roseville/Concordia Academy), with 27 assists, and sophomore defensive specialist
Maddie Stocker (Woodbury/New Life Academy), who had 19 digs.
Crown's team leaders were sophomore
Kaitlin Ruiter (Cottage Grove/Park) with six kills, sophomore
Maricella De La Cruz (Madelia/Madelia) with two blocks, senior
Taylor Urcuyo (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif./Upland Christian) with 13 digs, and junior setter
Kelsey Roschen (Anoka/Anoka) with 13 assists and 11 digs.
Crown volleyball continues their season against Northwestern (MN) at home on Tuesday, 7pm.
