St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Crown College (0-5-1) men's soccer team took a home loss on Tuesday evening, falling to Carleton College (3-1-1) 0-4.
Carleton scored twice in the first half, starting with a goal by sophomore
Kohl Sparrman (Apple Valley/Rosemount). After a Crown foul in the 44th minute leading to a penalty kick, Carleton added a second goal by senior captain
Riley Phelps (Bowling Green, Kent./Bowling Green).
Carleton kept up the pace in the second half with another pair of goals, a second from the sophomore Sparrman, and the last by freshmen
Mikkel Sawyer (Red Wing/St. Paul Central).
Junior
Justin Lao (Poipet, Cambodia/Dalat School) took the loss, despite eight saves.
Aiden Mullan (Iowa City, IA/Regina) got the win for Carleton.

Christian Olarte (Bogota, Cambodia/Chisago Lakes Baptist) took Crown's lone shot on goal.
Crown looks to get back on track on Saturday at 4:15 at home against conference opponent Martin Luther.
