St. Bonifacius, Minn. – Needing a win to clinch their second consecutive postseason appearance, the Crown softball team left no doubt, sweeping Martin Luther to punch their ticket and lock up at least the four seed in the upcoming conference tournament. With two games remaining against St. Scholastica, the Storm could finish anywhere from first through fourth in the final regular season standings.
Liz King dominated game one, throwing a three hit shutout from the circle, while also providing some insurance with a three run homer in sixth. Crown won 5-0 to clinch their spot in the postseason.
King struck out five while

With significant playoff implications still on the line, Crown kept their foot on the gas in game two, winning 10-2 in five innings.
Cearra Dulaney got the win, allowing just four hits and a walk over five innings.
A seven run second inning propelled Crown to the win, with eight different players crossing the plate for the home team.

Just one regular season doubleheader remains, a showdown with first place St. Scholastica in Duluth this Saturday. After the weekend, Crown will know when and where they start their postseason run.
