Timothy Wendel continued his scoring tear on Saturday with 27 points. Wendel has now scored 24 or more in three straight games, averaging 20.6 per game on the season. Against Morris, Wendel shot 5-11 from three, had 12 boards (including five offensive rebounds), and had two assists and two steals.
Junior
Austin VanDerHeyden also had five offensive boards in route to a 16 point eight rebound game for the junior.
Josh Volness had 15 and shot 60% from three, and senior
James Brown notched his second straight double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Despite not scoring,
Terrell Thomas contributed in a big way as he had an impressive nine assists.
Crown's defense played well, holding last year's UMAC first team all-conference recipient CD Douglas to one made field goal in the game.
Crown's basketball team returns on December 30th as they travel to Washington to face Whitworth and Whitman.
