St. Bonifacius, Minn. – Bookend goals at the very beginning and very end of the game propelled a 2-0 Crown victory in Men's soccer against the University of Minnesota-Morris on Homecoming Saturday.

In the seventh minute, junior Ger Jones (Bethel, Wales/Brynrefail School) was able to score on a pass by senior Sam Eckman (Edinboro, Penn./Dalat School) to give Crown an early 1-0 lead. The score stayed at a standstill for most of the game until the 89th minute where Eckman was able to get another goal to solidify the win for the Storm. 

Eckman and Jones both had strong performances with nine shots, five on goal, two scores, and an assist combined. 

Junior Eli Etzel (Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo) picked up the win for the storm with no goals allowed and four saves. The defense had a great performance limiting the opportunities for Morris.

Crown's next game is against UMAC rival Northwestern (MN) at home on Wednesday, 5 pm.
