St. Bonifacius, Minn. – Each of the four matches played by the Crown women's soccer team has ended with a 5-0 final score this season. Unfortunately, the Storm were on the wrong end of this one, falling by the five goal margin to conference foe Bethany Lutheran.
After opening the season with a pair of 5-0 wins, Crown has dropped their last two by the same margin, struggling to find the offensive magic they had in the first two contests of the year.
Crown was outshot 25-2 in this one, and haven't been able to put a shot on frame over the last two games.
Emily Kirby came close in the first half, seeing her curling effort just stay over the bar, but Crown couldn't get much else going against a tough Bethany Lutheran squad that improved to 2-2-1 on the year.
Crown will play at Martin Luther and visit Bethany Lutheran this weekend, hoping to get back into the swing of things offensively and find some goals away from home.
