St. Paul, Minn. – On the second day of the UMAC Crossover, Crown picked up another win over the LumberJills of Northland College in an exciting 11-10 game that featured 24 combined hits between the two teams.
Crown found themselves down 4-0 in the bottom of the third inning before a

Sarah Petkau would drive in a run later that inning to narrow the score 4-2. Crown would tie the game in the bottom of the fourth on a
Janelle Williams single to even the score at 5-5.
Crown exploded in the sixth inning scoring six runs highlighted by a huge three run homerun by freshman
Sofia Palacios to go up 11-6. Northland threatened scoring 4 runs in the seventh, but Petkau closed the game out to win 11-10.
Kate McLaughlin continued her strong play leading Crown with two more hits as Williams also had two.
Game two featured a Crown versus St. Scholastica matchup. Clinging to a 2-0 lead in the top of the fifth inning, the Saints would tack on three more runs to close out the Storm 5-0 as Crown could not capitalize on their hits stranding seven runners on base throughout the game.

Crown sits at fifth in the UMAC standings in the young season at 2-3.
