Pella, Iowa – The Crown women's soccer team travelled to Central College to take on the Dutch on Tuesday and were not welcomed warmly. The IIAC team fired 70 shots, 39 on goal, in scoring 13 times to defeat Crown 13-0.
Emily Kirby set a school record with 26 saves, but the onslaught from Central was simply too much. Crown managed a pair of shots on goal, but couldn't match the depth of the hosts who played 27 different players in the match.
Crown will look to get back on the front foot this Thursday when they host Finlandia in another non-conference match.
