St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Crown women's soccer team was shut out for a third straight match and for the fifth time in ten games this season during a 3-0 loss to UW-Superior. The loss moves the Storm to 0-5 in UMAC play.
Emily Kirby returned to the goal for Crown after playing in the field for the past two seasons. The former All-Conference keeper made 13 saves, but that effort wasn't enough as the Yellowjackets outshot the Storm 34-8 and earned 12 corner kicks to Crown's zero.
Keisha Prafke had three attempts on goal, but couldn't find the back of the net and Crown let a few late chances go begging.
The Storm will travel to Pella, Iowa on Tuesday for a non-conference matchup with Central College.
