St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Crown men's soccer team dropped a 4-0 non-conference decision to NAIA opponent Viterbo University on Friday night. It was a competitive game that was much closer than the final score would suggest, with Crown narrowly missing a handful of good chances throughout the evening.
The V-Hawks made the most of their opportunities, scoring twice in each half, and pulled off some emergency defending to keep the clean sheet against the Storm.
Crown has 13 shots, including six on goal, for the game, but simply couldn't find a way past Viterbo's keeper to get on the board. The team's best chance came after a penalty decision in the first half gave the hosts a chance to pull a goal back.

Ger Jones had his penalty saved, but tucked the rebound neatly past the keeper. The goal was ruled out, however, due to encroachment on the initial attempt.
