St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Storm played a tough, defensive oriented match against Minnesota Morris on Saturday afternoon, but couldn't keep the Cougars off the scoreboard, eventually falling by a 3-0 final score.
Morris scored a breakaway goal just over 19 minutes into the first half and added another just before halftime to take a 2-0 lead into the break.
A third goal just over five minutes into the second half rounded out the scoring, but Crown was able to generate a few chances down the stretch, nearly getting a goal in a nice buildup involving
Emily Kirby and
Megan Wright.
Crown will host Gustavus in their final non-conference matchup of the year this coming Tuesday at 7 p.m.
