St. Bonifacius, Minn. – It was a tough weekend for the Crown women's soccer team who lost decisions to St. Scholastica and Northland in their final home weekend of the 2014 season. The losses all but officially eliminated Crown from playoff contention.
On Friday, St. Scholastica outshot the Storm 35-4 en route to a 5-0 victory.
Aubrie Ades fired Crown's only shot on goal in the game, while the Saints had five different players find the back of the net.
Saturday's match came down to the wire as Northland scored the game's only goal with just 8:04 remaining in the game. Crown outshot the Jills by a 12-7 margin, but couldn't finish a trio of excellent chances in the 1-0 loss.
Crown still has four conference games remaining, and will need to win all four and get some help in order to make the four team conference tournament. The Strom travel to Minnesota Morris and Martin Luther next weekend.
