Andy Lambert begins his first year in 2026-27 as the Vice President of Athletics at Crown College.
Lambert brings more than 30 years of experience in Christian higher education and collegiate athletics. His experience includes 26 seasons as a head football coach, more than 6 years as an Athletic Director, service on a President's Cabinet, and, most recently, as Vice President of Student Development at Greenville University in Illinois.Â
His personal and professional efforts have been to form athletes who glorify God, live in joy, with energy, and for others. "Sport and Christian Higher Education have been my combined passion for over thirty years. I believe sport at any level, done through a Biblical lens, can be one of the most transformative experiences in the lives of those who participate. Sport is co-curricular and it is instrumental in the education of the whole person,"Â said Lambert.
- All of life (competition, academics) as worship
- Growth vs. Scarcity
- Selfless (cultivate humility, put love into action, serve others, and embrace accountability)
He has a proven track record of mentoring coaches, building healthy team cultures, and fostering an environment where people are challenged, supported, and equipped to flourish. He is energized by the Boldly Christian commitment at Crown and thrilled to join the strong momentum the institution is experiencing.
Andy’s wife Betsy is an avid outdoors lover and serious follower of Jesus. They have raised four beautiful daughters, Hannah, Lydia, Emma and Sylvia. Andy and Betsy are also proud grandparents to Ruby, Archer and Nora.
