Jon Forsythe

Forsythe is entering his second season for the Polars coming of a 2022 campaign that saw a 8-14-3 record sending the Polars back to the UMAC playoffs for the first time since 2018. Coach Forsythe had  5 players named UMAC All Conference following the conclusion of his first season along with 2 school records broken and 1 UMAC Player of the Week selection.

As a coach, Forsythe started his career coaching for Ambassadors FC, a youth club in Cleveland, Ohio. He then went back to his alma mater and joined the Moody Bible coaching staff for two years as an assistant before being promoted to head coach, a title he's held for the last 4 years. As head coach at Moody, Forsythe led the team to a regional championship in 2020 (the program's first since 2015) and he improved on the team's winning percentage year over year. While at Moody, Forsythe also coached for the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer, leading multiple youth teams to regional titles. He also worked for two years in their professional academy which is their seventeen and under team. During that time, Forsythe worked with multiple current professional and youth national team players.

As a player, Jon won a high school state title with Cuyahoga Valley Christian. At the college level, Forsythe played four years of college soccer at Moody Bible Institute, winning two NCCAA national titles during his time there. He was named a team captain by his teammates while at Moody.

Jon earned his B.A in Communications from Moody Bible Institute. He then went back to school and earned his M.A. in Bible and Theology from Moody Theological Seminary. Forsythe also holds his US Soccer Federation "B" License. Jon is married to his wife Carolyn, a Twin Cities native.
