Following the women's match earlier that morning, the men's soccer team took the field against the same opponent, hoping to earn a similar result. Facing Faith Baptist once again, the Polars battled through a tightly contested matchup. In the 60th minute, Jared Hernandez broke the deadlock, putting the Polars ahead 1–0. The team held strong defensively as they looked to secure the shutout, but Faith Baptist applied late pressure and managed to find the equalizer in the final seconds, sending the game into overtime. Neither side could break through in the extra periods, leading to a penalty shootout. Faith Baptist converted four of their five attempts to claim the victory and advance to the NCCAA National Tournament, ending the Polars' postseason run.
