Box Score St. Bonifacius, MN - Jimmies overpower Polars at home.
Coming off a dominant performance Thursday against Trinity Bible, the Crown College men's soccer team looked to carry that momentum into the weekend. The Polars faced the University of Jamestown on a calm Saturday afternoon, with perfect playing conditions at the 4 p.m. kickoff. The Jimmies struck first with an impressive long-range shot that sailed just over the outstretched arms of the Crown goalkeeper. Building on that early momentum, Jamestown continued to press, adding a second goal before halftime. The second half saw the Jimmies extend their lead, finding the back of the net five more times. Crown continued to battle, and captain Omar Navarro provided a bright spot late in the match with a well-placed finish in the 84th minute, the lone goal for the Polars. Jamestown would add one more to close out an 8–1 result.
Crown now turns its attention back to UMAC conference play on Wednesday, when they travel to face the University of Northwestern.
