Arden Hills, MN - The Polars Women's Soccer team faced off with the Bethel Royals on Wednesday and fell by a score of 2-0.
The first half saw an even slate for both team as neither team could find the back of the net. Both teams got their opportunities to score with Bethel taking the edge in shots 18-6. The Polars couldn't hold off te Royal offense long enough as two minutes into the start of the second half Bethel scored the first goal of the game. The Royal overwhelming offensive attack out shot the Polars 27-1 in the second half with goalkeeper
Rachel Fuller grabbing 14 saves in the second half alone. A late goal proved to be enough for the Royals as the final score read 2-0.
Lexi Shreve and
Ashley Pierce both took two shots on the day with Shreve's shots both on goal.
Abigail Shull,
Emma Domka, and
Aletheia Fisher were all credited with one shot apiece.
The Polars return home for their next contest where they will take on Lake Forest at 7pm on Friday, September 8th.
